The regular hybrid event format "frischgrün_vernetzt" is intended to promote and consolidate the exchange of content and networking within the young landscape architecture scene.

The basic aim is to initiate, operate and intensify a network of new young people in the association and to support aspiring young self-employed people in their projects with specialist knowledge and experience. bdla executive committee member Franz Reschke provides information about this in an interview. In recent years, the visibility of young talent has been strengthened through contributions, articles and the newly created "Young Landscape Architecture" category in the German Landscape Architecture Award.

bdla is currently organizing the FRISCHGRÜN competition. The aim is to identify the special design and conceptual quality of young landscape architecture. In 2021, the "FRISCHGRÜN21" exhibition presented the young landscape architecture scene at the BUGA in Erfurt. Furthermore, the special training program"bdla Workshop for Young Landscape Architecture" and the bdla Founders' Forum were launched.
