Die von der Online-Jury nominierten Projekte wurden im Zeitraum von Mitte August bis Mitte September 2021 von der unabhängigen (Photo-)Journalistin Laura Loewel besucht. Sie ist vom bdla Baden-Württemberg beauftragt, die Projekte zu fotografieren und neutral zu beschreiben.

Laura Loewel studierte nach ihrer Zeit als Redakteurin Landschaftsarchitektur an der TU München, gefolgt von einer wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeit am Lehrstuhl von Prof. Regine Keller.
Als freiberufliche (Photo-)Journalistin ist sie seit 2009 tätig.
