In particular, the dry years 2018-2020 have changed the street, urban as well as the landscape. In many places, prominent (old) trees have died and left gaps. It is important to learn from the experiences of these years and to deal with them.

After a short excursion into tree biology, you will get to know and understand selected "new" tree diseases in both a theoretical and a practical part of this day seminar, so that with this knowledge you can better assess the expected life expectancy of the affected trees. On the question regarding drought stress tolerant replantings or new plantings, suitable tree species and their site characteristics will be presented.
