Decentralized stormwater management Water pollution control - heavy rainfall - urban climate

The seminar provides an introduction to the planning of near-natural stormwater management. Basics of dimensioning, legal requirements and operational experience are conveyed.

The handling of stormwater on building sites is no longer limited to mere drainage. Depending on local conditions, other aspects such as stormwater treatment (purification), behavior during heavy precipitation or the impact on the urban climate must be considered. The seminar will provide an overview of the wide range of options for stormwater management, including green roofs, infiltration systems, trough/rigole systems or pond systems. Furthermore, the legal requirements are discussed, especially the new technical rules (DWA A102) and flood proofs. Following the seminar, executed plants on the IGA site will be explained.
