The seminar offers a practical insight into the new possibilities of tenant electricity and communal building supply, which were made considerably easier by the Solar Package I in spring 2024. Based on a current new construction project of two Hamburg building cooperatives with four buildings, solar green roofs and 88 residential units, it will be shown how a sustainable energy supply can be implemented using a tenant electricity model. Specific challenges, legal framework conditions and technical requirements will be highlighted and tried-and-tested solutions presented. In addition, the new concept of communal building supply will be explained and an outlook given on how such models can contribute to the local energy transition in the future.
