Replacing windows can optimize the building's thermal insulation and lead to a reduction in heating costs. However, when replacing windows in an old building, several factors should be taken into account in order to achieve the desired goal - namely comfortably warm, draught-free rooms with reduced energy consumption. For example, it is important that the U-value of the new windows matches that of the façade and that the ventilation of the building is also taken into account in order to prevent mould growth.
