At the Regional Council Giessen, Department V Rural Areas, Forestry, Nature and Consumer Protection, a position is available at the earliest possible date in Department 53.1 "Forestry and Nature Conservation I (Forestry, Impact and Compensation Regulation, Environmental Impact Assessment)" at the Wetzlar site in the area of



Forestry

to be filled on a permanent basis.



The position is classified in pay group 13 of the collective agreement of the State of Hesse (TV-H). The prospect of a civil service appointment may be offered, provided that the requirements under civil service law are met. The position is graded according to A 13 HBesG for existing civil servants.



The area of responsibility includes the following focal points:

- Statements as a representative of public interests in the area of forestry on plans and projects that are approved by the regional council or a supreme state authority. This currently also concerns approval procedures in accordance with the Federal Immission Control Act for the approval of wind turbines in the forest and their access routes and cable routes in the forest

- Implementation of forestry approval procedures in cases of outstanding technical and political importance

- Technical supervision of the forestry offices as lower forestry authorities and the district committees

- Prosecution of illegal logging in accordance with the Timber Trade Security Act

- Training of trainees, trainee inspectors, interns, etc. with regard to the tasks of the higher forestry authority,

Professional and personal requirements profile:

It is assumed that you have successfully completed a university degree in forestry science at the time of your appointment.



The following are an advantage:

- Completion of a forestry traineeship

- Professional experience in a forestry company

- Willingness to quickly familiarize yourself with the specialist area and the special specialist applications

- Personal commitment and a strong sense of responsibility

- Ability to work in a team and flexibility, in addition you are resilient, have the ability to assert yourself and the ability to act confidently even in conflict-laden situations

- the position involves field work, occasionally outside normal working hours, and requires unrestricted fitness for field work and possession of a class B driving license as well as the willingness to drive a company car.
