The city of Detmold attaches great importance to high-quality green and open spaces. That is why we maintain and care for our historic parks, develop new green connections, create a quality of stay and improve play and exercise facilities in schoolyards, playgrounds and sports facilities. Our "Environmental Protection and Open Space Planning" team, which currently consists of eight employees, needs your support for these diverse tasks.



Your main tasks are

▪ Project coordination, object planning for public open spaces (work phases 1 to 9 HOAI) in the areas of green spaces, play and sports facilities, garden monument preservation, etc.

▪ Performing the client function for externally commissioned open space planning and concepts

▪ Development of sustainable open space concepts for the provision of green and open spaces throughout the city

▪ Preparation of statements and specialist green design contributions for urban development measures



You bring with you

▪ a successfully completed degree in landscape architecture or landscape conservation

▪ good design skills and design expertise in object planning

▪ thorough knowledge of environmental law, public and private building law (VOB, HOAI etc.)

▪ A high degree of organizational skills and resilience

▪ Communication and conflict resolution skills in conjunction with negotiation skills

▪ Decisiveness and assertiveness, also in dealing with construction companies and other stakeholders

▪ Flexibility and ability to work in a team

▪ Good knowledge of standard PC software (MS Office), CAD, AVA

▪ Willingness and ability to attend on-site appointments, even in difficult terrain, in road traffic and on construction sites



Desirable are

▪ Several years of professional experience in the field of property planning, construction supervision and billing of investment measures

▪ Professional experience in the field of conceptual green and open space planning

▪ Administrative experience
