The Bavarian State Institute of Viticulture and Horticulture (LWG) is a modern, service-oriented teaching and testing facility within the remit of the Bavarian State Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Tourism and is responsible for applied research and education.
At the earliest possible date, we are looking for a
for our Institute of Urban Greenery and Landscaping (ISL) at the Veitshöchheim site
Research assistant (m/f/d)
for research, consulting and teaching in gardening
for research, consulting and teaching in garden, landscape and sports field construction.
Your main areas of responsibility:
- You will teach at the State Master Craftsman and Technician School in the subjects of green space construction technology and construction operations as well as in interdisciplinary project teaching.
- You will be involved in the design, creation and supervision of practice-oriented experiments in the field of construction and vegetation technology.
- You will compile your findings in research reports, publish them in relevant specialist journals and present the results at specialist conferences.
- You represent the institute in regulatory committees and working groups of relevant professional bodies.
- You organize and moderate events and workshops for the further education and training of relevant target groups.
- You will support the institute in the digitalization of work processes such as landscape gardening-related tenders and planning.
Your profile:
- You have a university degree as Dipl.-Ing. Univ. or M. Sc. in landscape conservation/landscape architecture/landscape planning/landscape ecology or a comparable field of study with a planning/technical orientation.
- You are active in the execution or planning practice in gardening and landscaping and have professional experience in the handling of construction projects.
- You have basic knowledge of CAD and AVA software and are confident in using Office programs.
- You combine an independent and self-reliant way of working with a confident manner and good written and spoken communication skills.
We offer:
- Permanent full-time employment (equivalent to 40 hours per week). The position is part-time.
- a pay scale based on the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L). If the required qualifications are met, the position will be grouped in pay group 13 TV-L. If the requirements under career law are met, employment as a civil servant is possible.
