The city of Bonn, which is home to just over 338,000 people, designs, plans, builds and maintains around 1,400 hectares of green spaces for the quality of life of its citizens with around 300 employees of the Office for the Environment and Urban Greenery. In addition to the public parks, this also includes other green spaces, e.g. in traffic areas and public buildings, public playgrounds, as well as the 40 cemeteries and the city forest.
Our aim is to present the city in a diverse, attractive and well-maintained appearance and to be a reliable point of contact for citizens in our areas of responsibility.
Intensive detailed work is carried out on a daily basis to create concepts for public outdoor areas and monitor their implementation on site in order to create attractive open spaces for citizens.
The area of responsibility of the advertised position includes in particular
Planning, calculation, tendering and construction management of engineering works in the field of forestry, including forest road construction and renovation, forestry facilities.
Planning, calculation, tendering and construction management of compensation and replacement measures, measures on areas of nature conservation importance, CEF measures, eco-account measures.
Preparation, contract design, commissioning, supervision and invoicing of external landscape architects in accordance with HOAI.
Coordination of administrative and construction processes with various specialist departments of the City of Bonn.
Prerequisites are
A successfully completed degree (Diplom / Bachelor) as an engineer in the fields of landscape architecture, green and open space planning, landscape construction/management or a comparable field of study.
Knowledge of current regulations and standards for gardening and landscaping and the legal basis for planning.
Knowledge and confident handling of VOB / tendering programs AVA / award management system.
Good digital skills, especially with regard to (Office, tendering, CAD/GIS).
Interest and willingness to familiarize yourself with existing and new software as well as new fields of work.
Good communication skills for dealing with internal and external planning stakeholders.
Team spirit, organizational skills and ability to work independently
Good written and spoken German (at least C1).
Desirable are:
Professional experience in green planning, project management and construction site management,
ecological and technical understanding,
Class B driver's license,
Knowledge of the drawing software AutoCAD or WS LandCAD.
This is a full-time position. Part-time employment is also possible.
