Job Description

The foundation set up by the state of Brandenburg is dedicated to the preservation, research and presentation of the overall work of art comprising garden and landscape design, architecture, interior design and collections of Prince
Hermann von Pückler in Branitz. The park and palace are places of cultural life and the arts in the tradition of Prince Pückler and are considered a nationally significant cultural monument. The famous pyramids and the exemplary
and the exemplary way in which the consequences of climate change are dealt with make the 660-hectare Branitz park landscape unique.
The park and garden conservation department is the foundation's largest and is responsible for the gardens as well as the forest and agricultural areas. Fourteen gardeners and an equal number of external employees from the Lebenshilfe workshops work hand in hand in this area. The engineering and scientific staff of the department are networked in many ways in science and practice. With this potential, sustainable guidelines for "Branitz as a living monument" can be integrated imaginatively into everyday work.

Your tasks
- Overall responsibility for the maintenance and monumental development of the gardens
- Content orientation and operational management, organization, planning, coordination and implementation of tasks in park maintenance and scientific garden monument preservation
- Responsibility for planning and evaluating garden monument conservation concepts and their sustainable implementation and documentation
- Participation in specialist committees for garden monument conservation and national and international networking
- Participation in the foundation's public relations work
- Collaboration with the departments of the University of Architecture, the museum and monument conservation
- Technical and management responsibility towards the foundation's board of directors

Your profile
- Completed university degree (Master's, Dipl.-Univ.) in landscape architecture, nature and environmental protection, monument conservation, urban and regional planning, architecture or similar
- Leadership personality with strong management skills
- Experience in project management
- Fluent knowledge of written and spoken German
- High sense of responsibility in dealing with historic parks
- Efficient, structured and motivating way of working
- Enthusiasm for experimentation and commitment
- practical experience in monument conservation
