The Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Housing is looking for a research assistant for an indefinite period to start immediately as a
Coordinator (m/f/d) for nature, species and climate protection for housing projects in Department II W

Full-time: 39.4 hours per week (part-time is possible)
Department II W deals with the development of housing construction potential of city-wide importance in areas where the Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Housing has initiated the development plan procedure due to their exceptional urban policy significance (in accordance with Section 9 AGBauGB) and/or the existence of an urgent overall interest for Berlin (in accordance with Section 7 AGBauGB).
The department is currently developing 11 of the 24 New Urban Districts for around 30,000 apartments, which are intended to set standards for sustainable urban development. The plans address the complex challenges of nature, species and climate protection in the Outer City and lead to sustainable urban and open space planning solutions.
Your area of responsibility includes
Cross-project conception and coordination of guidelines in relation to nature and species conservation, green and open space planning, climate protection and climate adaptation for new urban districts and development plan procedures of importance to the city as a whole in the context of overarching sustainability strategies of the state of Berlin as well as sub-project and project management of relevant B-plan procedures, in particular for compensatory measures
Project support and advice as part of the activation of relevant housing and commercial potential through development plan procedures and urban development project management in the urgent overall interest of Berlin (Section 7 AGBauGB) and of exceptional urban policy importance (Section 9 AGBauGB)
You have...
a university degree (Dipl. (Univ.) or Master) in landscape planning, architecture, ecology or open space planning, urban planning, environmental planning or comparable fields of study or equivalent skills and experience.
