At the bdla Business Forum 2019 on 22.2.2019 in Hanover, the focus will be on current challenges facing planning offices: balanced contract design, adequate fees, forward-looking personnel management.

In cooperation with Dr. Sebastian Schattenfroh, the bdla has developed a model contract for outdoor facilities. This is directly applicable or partial aspects are transferable to other contracts. Essential regulations and legal backgrounds are presented and discussed. In addition, professional supplementary management is discussed, which can play a major role in the economic success of an office.

With the current good order situation, employee recruitment and retention is a high priority in many landscape architecture firms. Successful strategies in personnel marketing are explained. In addition, two special forms of employee retention will be presented: direct employee participation in the office and the planning office as a cooperative.
