The competition for the German Landscape Architecture Award 2019 is "entering its hot phase".

On January 22, 2019, the deadline for online submissions of exemplary projects in settlement and landscape development and contemporary open space planning ended at midnight.

111 projects were submitted to compete for First Prize and one of the awards in eight different categories, ranging from Plant Use to Conservation and Landscape Experience, Neighborhood Development / Living Environment to Young Landscape Architecture.

After a preliminary review, five online jurors will select a maximum of 35 works by March 4, 2019, from which the jury, meeting in Berlin on April 12, 2019, will choose the winning projects.
