The focus is on housing projects in small towns and communities.

An attractive and lively environment is also part of a demand-oriented and high-quality housing offer. We are looking for successful projects that create a recognizable added value for the community and stabilize or improve the local living situation.

From now up to and including 16 June 2019, individuals, groups, companies, clubs, associations, cities and municipalities, districts and chambers can apply with their contributions to the following topic areas:

  • Subject area 1: Developing the built environment - creating new quality
  • Subject area 2: Experiencing the public - enabling encounters
  • Topic 3: Creating a framework - providing support

An independent jury will judge the projects according to criteria such as commitment, innovation, creativity and building culture. A total of 20,000 euros in prize money is available. The awarding authority is the Federal Ministry of the Interior, for Construction and Home Affairs. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place in autumn 2019. The bdla is a partner of the competition.
