Peter Joseph Lenné Award 2020 announced

The Peter Joseph Lenné Award 2020 of the State of Berlin has been announced. It is the world's largest ideas competition for young professionals from the fields of open space architecture, landscape planning, architecture and art who are younger than 35.

This competition for young architects is sponsored by the Senate Department for the Environment, Transport and Climate Protection and organized by Grün Berlin GmbH. The cooperation partner is the Association of German Landscape Architects.

The tasks are as follows:

Task A: Berlin
Berlin-Kreuzberg - The Hornstrasse - From Promenade to Urban Future Concept

Task B: National
Frankfurt am Main - Innovative development of the main cemetery

Task C: International
Tampere, Finland - Transforming the hidden Viinikanoja River into an urban green corridor

Entries can be submitted in German or English. The main prize in each task is endowed with 5.000,00 Euro.

The jury, which will meet in Berlin on 30 and 31 July 2020, includes landscape architect bdla Prof. Dr. Constanze A. Petrow, Geisenheim University of Applied Sciences, Department of Landscape Architecture.

The ceremony with the awarding of the Lenné Prizes will take place on 30 October 2020 at 6 pm at the Akademie der Künste on Pariser Platz.
