Federal Award for Urban Greening decided

Six prizes and seven recognitions were awarded in the Federal Urban Greening Award 2020. This was announced by the Federal Ministry of the Interior, for Construction and Home Affairs on 31 July 2020.

By awarding prizes in the categories - built, used, maintained, managed - BMI recognises exceptional commitment to urban green space, diverse usability, design quality, innovative concepts and integrative planning approaches.

With 237 valid submissions, the first-ever national award attracted a high level of response from cities and municipalities.

An independent jury of 15 members, including bdla President Till Rehwaldt, decided on the awarding of the prizes on 16 June 2020.

The award ceremony will take place on 2 October 2020 in Berlin.
