Planning is valuable and must have its price

The HOAI 2021 comes into force on 1 January 2021. The HOAI will continue to provide a reliable orientation framework in the future. It is now up to the planners to use this framework and to achieve economically adequate and thus fair fees for their services.

Therefore, the chambers and associations of the so-called "Verbändegespräch" in Berlin address their members with an appeal: Planning is valuable and must have its price. Also in terms of consumer protection, fair competition for the best performance must apply and not competition for the lowest price. Planners must therefore continue to receive appropriate remuneration for their services in the future.

The Verbändegespräch is an informal association of the chambers and associations of the planning professions, which meets approximately every six months and discusses joint activities for the benefit of the profession of engineers and architects of all disciplines. Approximately 20 organizations are active in the associations meeting.
