On 17 September 2021, the green associations will be guests in the BUGA city of Erfurt. On behalf of BBN, bdla, BGL, DBG, DGGL, FLL and SRL, the German Conference of Garden Authorities GALK invites to the Joint Federal Congress in Carl-Zeiss-Saal in the Congress Center of Messe Erfurt. Title of the congress "Resilient Urban Green".

The Corona pandemic has pushed the community to its limits in many ways since the spring of 2020 - the social and economic consequences are still impossible to assess. The need for social encounters was reflected especially in public green spaces: Crowds in parks, barbecues in the nature reserve, raves in the woods and the whole thing combined with a flood of rubbish on a hitherto unknown scale. All of this poses new challenges for green space authorities, but also for planners and garden and landscape designers. - So how do we plan and design a resilient urban green in the future that can cope with both the changing climate and the demands of healthy urban neighbourhoods, while at the same time being robust enough to withstand the crowds of visitors?

An interesting lecture programme on Friday, 17 September 2021, and excursions to the BUGA sites Zitadelle Petersberg and Geraaue on Saturday, 18 September 2021, with colleagues from Erfurt's Garden and Cemetery Office will make the trip to the city of the 28th Federal Horticultural Show a worthwhile one.
