Federal Foundation for Building Culture with new Board of Trustees and Advisory Board

The Federal Foundation for Building Culture has a new foundation council. The 13 members of the Foundation Council were officially confirmed at the constituent meeting on June 24 in Berlin.

The Foundation Board decides on all matters of importance to the Foundation and its development. It is chaired by Cansel Kiziltepe, Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Building. The President of the Federal Chamber of Architects, Andrea Gebhard, was unanimously elected as her deputy.

The Foundation Council consists of the following individuals (alphabetical):

  • Katharina Cramer-Hadjidimos, Head of Division at the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
  • Sabine Djahanschah, architect, Head of Division at the German Federal Foundation for the Environment
  • Andrea Gebhard, landscape architect bdla and urban planner, President of the Federal Chamber of Architects (Vice Chair)
  • Norbert Hermanns, Chairman of the Supervisory Board Landmarken AG
  • Christian Hirte, Member of the German Bundestag
  • Michael Kießling, Member of the German Bundestag
  • Cansel Kiziltepe, Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Housing, Urban Development and Construction (Chair)
  • Anja Liebert, Member of the German Bundestag
  • Prof. Dr. Engelbert Lütke Daldrup, former Managing Director BER
  • Edgar Pairan, Head of Division, Federal Ministry of Finance
  • Hagen Reinhold, Member of the German Bundestag
  • Prof. Dr. Werner Sobek, architect and engineer
  • Claudia Tausend, Member of the German Bundestag

At the meeting, the Foundation Council appointed the new members of the Advisory Board. Its task is to advise the Board of Trustees and the Executive Board on the planning and execution of its tasks, both technically and in terms of content. Together with the team of the Bundesstiftung Baukultur, the committees will continue the dialogue between experts, civil society, business, teaching, research and the public sector and promote spaces that create identity.
