"Infrastructures shape spaces" is the title of the Convention of Baukultur, to which the Federal Foundation of Baukultur is inviting guests to Schiffbauergasse in Potsdam on June 19 and 20, 2024.

As part of the convention, the Baukultur Report 2024/25 on the topic of infrastructure will be presented to the public for the first time on June 20, 2024 and the recommendations for action formulated therein will be discussed with representatives from practice, politics and academia. The convention will be opened by Elisabeth Kaiser, Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Housing, Urban Development and Building, who is also Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the Federal Foundation of Baukultur.

At the "Base Camp of Baukultur" on June 19, 2024, participants will be able to choose from five open forums on various focus topics, such as bridges and infrastructure, transformation of single-family housing areas, which invite participation as working and discussion formats. On the Schirrhof, which is otherwise used as a parking lot, nine student project teams and a school team will present their ideas for 10 m² of building culture - a campaign to activate, use or repurpose parking spaces. And at the "Marketplace of Initiatives", Baukultur initiatives from all over Germany will be inviting visitors to exchange experiences and network. A cultural program will round off the nationwide central event for Baukultur.
