Callwey Verlag is launching the “Landscape Architecture – Outstanding Projects 2027” competition. Entries must be submitted by 17 July 2026
With the launch of the ‘Landscape Architecture – Outstanding Projects 2027’ competition, Callwey Verlag invites landscape architects to present their pioneering projects to a wider public.
Following the great success of previous editions, the publisher has decided to take the yearbook to the next level and, for the first time, to launch an award on the subject. To accompany this, a high-quality volume is once again being produced, showcasing the creative and social potential of contemporary landscape architecture.
The independent jury includes, amongst others:
Anna Detzlhofer, President of ÖGLA;
Christian Hänni, expert councillor at JardinSuisse;
Theresa Ramisch, Editor-in-Chief of G+L;
Heike Vossen, Managing Editor of Freiraum Gestalten and GÄRTEN;
Laura Puttkamer, author;
Jörg Michel, POLA Landscape Architects.
Multiple projects may be submitted – until 17 July 2026. The entry fee, which includes editorial processing, media usage, ten complimentary copies and a book presentation, is €2,900 (plus VAT). The 50 best projects will be published in a high-quality catalogue.
The awards ceremony and book launch will take place on 25 February 2027 at the Ebben Nursery.
The competition’s partners are: bdla (Association of German Landscape Architects), BGL (Federal Association of Garden, Landscape and Sports Ground Construction), ÖGLA (Austrian Society for Landscape Architecture), GALABAU (Austrian Association of Garden and Landscape Construction), BSLA – Swiss Federation of Landscape Architects, Jardin Suisse – Swiss Association for Garden and Landscape Construction, the German Association of Cities, the Ebben Nursery, Neuhoff Naturstein, Light & Spaces, the GaLaBau trade fair, and the media partners Garten + Landschaft and Freiraum gestalten.
