A total of 30 housing projects have been nominated for the 2026 German Building Owners’ Award.
From a total of 176 housing projects across Germany, an interdisciplinary jury – with Dr Andreas Kurths of ‘gruppe F Freiraum für alle’, Berlin, participating as a guest in an advisory capacity on behalf of the bdla – selected the projects in a two-stage process.
The winners of the German Client Award will be announced and honoured on 29 June 2026 at the awards ceremony, which will take place as part of this year’s GdW ‘WohnZukunftstag’ (Housing Future Day) at the EUREF Campus in Berlin.
The German Building Owners’ Award is recognised as the most prestigious prize in the field of housing construction in Germany. It was established by the KOOPERATION working group, comprising the German Housing Industry Association (GdW), the Association of German Architects (BDA) and the German Association of Cities, and is supported by the Federal Ministry for Housing, Urban Development and Construction, and the Association of German Landscape Architects (bdla).
