How can the use of plants meet the growing demands of urban spaces? The 2026 Planting Planners’ Forum will bring together experts from the fields of science, planning and public administration to discuss current strategies and practical experience.
The focus is on climate-adapted urban greenery, sustainable soil and tree conservation, maintenance in the context of scarce resources, and the promotion of insect diversity.
In addition to the specialist presentations, field trips to selected projects in Hamburg will provide an opportunity to experience first-hand innovative approaches to the use of plants in public spaces, exemplary maintenance concepts and various strategies for climate adaptation. These offer the opportunity to discuss planning and implementation experiences directly and to reflect on them through collegial exchange.
