On 23 April 2026, companies and organisations across the country will open their doors for Girls’ Day and Boys’ Day. Under the slogan “Your day, your path!”, pupils from Year 5 onwards will be offered a wide range of career exploration opportunities, with around 23,300 placements and a total of around 174,000 places available.

"On Girls’ Day and Boys’ Day, young people gain a wide range of practical insights that can help them make informed career choices. At the same time, companies establish contact with potential future employees at an early stage. In this way, these event days make an important contribution to securing the skilled workers of tomorrow,” says Karin Prien, Federal Minister for Education.

Landscape architects can register their offers directly for Boys’Day; for Girls’Day, they must select the ‘detour’ route via ‘Starting/running a business’ or ‘Other’, as has been the practice in previous years.

According to the organisers, these event days are the world’s largest career guidance programme, promoting career and study choices free from gender stereotypes and creating opportunities for individual experiences.
