The bdla Federal Association has been awarding the German Landscape Architecture Prize every two years since 1993. Since 2004, bdla regional associations have also been awarding regional landscape architecture prizes.
There are now six regional awards that recognise outstanding projects in their respective towns and localities and highlight the social significance of high-quality landscape architecture at a local level.
