On 09.11. the working group met for the second time in 2021. The central topic was the future change in the international area of IFLA Europe or IFLA World and the bdla working group International.

Because at the IFLA Europe General Assembly from 22 to 24 October 2021 in Granada, Gwendolyn Kusters, landscape architect bdla, Hanover, was officially introduced by the Federal Chamber of Architects as a German delegate and thus succeeded Prof. Fritz Auweck, long-time representative of German landscape architects on the international stage. Furthermore, Prof. Fritz Auweck is only available for the office of the bdla spokesperson International until April 2022. As a possible successor, working group member Steffi Schüppel, landscape architect from Dresden and chairwoman of bdla Saxony, is running for the advisory board meeting on 01.04.2022.

Furthermore, the IFLA Europe General Assembly in Granada and the virtual IFLA World General Assembly in Malaysia, which took place in mid-August 2021, were reported. This year Fritz Auweck, Steffi Schüppel, Gwendolyn Kusters and Almut Jirku participated. Also discussed were the current results on the EU project "New European Bauhaus".

In order to maintain the constant flow of information on the diverse topics at the international level, independent of the working group, an internal IFLA-bdla team circle consisting of five working group participants was formed. This met virtually for the first time on 07.12.2021 and discussed upcoming topics at the international level. About a low-threshold project of the IFLA working group Agricultural Landscapes, an international photo competition on the topic of national cultural landscapes, there will soon be a call for participation via the federal office.
