The public relations officers met for their 47th meeting in Magdeburg on 16 June 2018.

To kick off the meeting, Jutta Sankowski and Cordula Wengemuth reported on discussions at the annual conference and resolutions at the advisory board meeting on 20 April 2018 in Würzburg. They focused their attention on the presentation by BBR President Petra Wesseler "Recognizing and strengthening the added value of green cities", TOP 5 Discussion of association structures and organizational forms, and TOP 7 Public relations.

The members of the advisory board fully approved the application of the bdla spokesperson for subsidies for the public relations projects of the bdla regional groups.

Furthermore, the relaunch of bdla.de was discussed. Together with the members of the project working group "Relaunch" Jutta Sankowski, Philipp Sattler and Markus Schäf Petra Baum explained final designs, the new menu structure, banner places etc. to the speakers on the basis of lists and illustrations. The speakers were positive about what was presented.

The bdla logo, which was reduced in the context of the relaunch, was noticeable, as was the newly introduced font Nunito Sans (free for web and desktop). Which effects this has/has on the Corporate Design of the bdla in general had to remain open at this time.

The situation was quite different with the clusters. The proposal already made in 2016 by the Public Relations Working Group to subject projects published in clusters to a "quality control" is now to be put into practice. The bdla presidium gave the green light for updating the online exhibitions "Private Gardens", "Developing Landscape" and "Urban Places".

The speakers agreed that approx. 18 projects should remain in a cluster as excellence projects and defined the corresponding responsibilities for cluster/selection in the working group. Reporting will take place at the meeting on 16 November 2018 in Berlin.
