bdla will continue the in-service training in Osnabrück in 2020.

Environmental construction supervision continues to be a growing field of activity in the spectrum of landscape architecture and landscape planning. Today it is considered an important instrument in many projects. It has found its place in the awarding of contracts for road and railway construction and in many municipalities.

The UBB has the task of avoiding environmental hazards through the implementation of all stipulations in conformity with the permit and of protecting all those involved in the construction from liability claims. It thus stands in the area of conflict between environmental protection and construction activities. In addition to ecological, procedural and constructional knowledge, environmental law and communication skills are of great importance for a professionally qualified perception.

The increasing demands for careful implementation of environmentally relevant planning content and the stipulation of UBB in permits document the growing need for qualified environmental construction supervisors. For some time now, the Association of German Landscape Architects has been offering - in cooperation with the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences - the additional qualification Environmental Construction Supervision (UBB).

In two in each case two and a half-day training further units teach renowned specialists in line with standard usage and up-to-date. The dates are: 6 to 8 February 2020, 19 to 21 March 2020 in Osnabrück. At the end of the advanced training, there is the possibility to take an examination to obtain a university certificate from the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. Participation in the course and successful certificate examination will be recognised by Deutsche Bahn on application as prequalification without the additional examination that would otherwise be required.
