bdla training course on 6 and 7 November 2026 in Berlin
How do we want to live, and how will we live tomorrow? What will our everyday lives and our reality be like, not just tomorrow, but in 20 or 30 years’ time? What might the future look like, free, to some extent, from the ever-present hurdles and obstacles? How do we shape the path towards it? By thinking sensibly and holistically – and creatively! All the topics and solutions that are currently still ‘new’ – relating to climate adaptation, resources and mobility – will be standard practice tomorrow. What comes next?
National and international speakers will use selected examples to illustrate possible developments and prospects for the future of public spaces. Confirmed speakers include Andreas Kipar, LAND, Milan; Prof. Emeritus Kees Christiaanse, KCAP, Zurich; Werner Sobek, Studio Werner Sobek, Stuttgart; and Michel Desvigne, Michel Desvigne Paysagiste, Paris. Presenting their visions will be Sibylla Hartel, Gustafson Porter + Bowman, London; Jens Linnet, BOGL, Copenhagen/Oslo; Jan Bunge, Multiball Studio, London; Gero Heck, relais Landschaftsarchitekten, Berlin; and Martí Franch Batllori, EMF, Girona. Armin Kopf, from the Green Space Planning Department, and Friederike Meinhardt, Co-Head of the Urban Space Department, both from Basel, as well as Andoni Briones and Justine Le from Paris, will report on how cities are ‘preparing’ themselves.
