The bdla presents two online brochures on the current status of the HOAI amendment
The Association of German Landscape Architects (bdla) has published two brochures on the current status of the HOAI amendment. These provide guidance on appropriate and adequate remuneration for the design of outdoor spaces and for landscape planning.

The collapse of the previous coalition government comprising the SPD, Alliance 90/The Greens and the FDP prevented the reform of the fee schedule for architects and engineers. Yet the groundwork had already been laid in the form of two expert reports: the ‘Evaluation of Planning Areas’, commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Housing, Urban Development and Construction, and an expert report on the ‘Evaluation of the Fee Schedules’ of the HOAI, commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
These two expert reports form a solid basis and demonstrate to the responsible commissioning bodies and contracting authorities, as well as to providers and contractors of architectural and engineering services, what requirements are placed on the provision of services in line with current standards and what fee scale values the HOAI would need to reflect today, in order to match the remuneration levels established during the last fee scale evaluation as part of the 2013 HOAI amendment.
The authors of the bdla brochures are:
for ‘Status of the HOAI 202X on the Planning of Outdoor Facilities 2025’, Dieter Herrchen, a publicly recognised expert on fees for the services of landscape architects, Wiesbaden, and Mirjam Mohrlüder, fees expert, Wiesbaden;
for ‘Status of HOAI 202X on Landscape Planning 2025’: Dieter Pfrommer, officially recognised expert in fees for landscape architects’ services, Stuttgart, and Martin Janotta, landscape architect (bdla), Berlin.
