29th bdla Site Managers’ Conference on 22 and 23 January 2027 in Hagen
On 22 and 23 January 2027, the Association of German Landscape Architects (bdla) is hosting the 29th Site Managers’ Conference. Around 600 landscape architects from German-speaking countries are expected to attend this annual professional development and networking event. The event will take place at the Stadthalle Hagen.
Once again, the focus is
on a series of presentations on practical construction experience and updates on regulatory frameworks. The legal topic examines the relationship between the client, the landscaping contractor and the landscape architect, and addresses the correct course of action when conflicts arise during the construction phase. Other topics include circular construction, underground climate adaptation, lighting design and sustainable construction with concrete, as well as large-format paving, invoice verification and safety on water play areas.
Seminars on ‘Calculated verification of fixed and variable cost additions’ and ‘Pruning shrubs – species-appropriate and creative’ will be offered as optional sessions on the second day of the event. Alternatively, there are four exciting excursions: the outdoor grounds of the former Goldzack factory in Wuppertal, the Hengsteysee Beach Club in Hagen, Bochum City Park and the IGA 2027 Future Garden in Lünen (under construction).
