SAVE THE DATE: ACT NOW! 25 June 2025
We are delighted to announce an evening event taking place on Thursday, 25 June 2026, from 6.30 pm at BHROX (Bauhaus Re-Use) on the central island of Ernst-Reuter-Platz, Berlin-Charlottenburg.
The partners for this event are the bdla Berlin-Brandenburg, the Berlin Chamber of Architects, the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf District Office and the Technical University of Braunschweig.
At the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale in 2025, the German contribution ‘STRESSTEST’ addressed construction as one of the biggest drivers of climate change, as well as the impact of heat stress on our health, cities and bodies.
Niklas Maak summarised in the *Frankfurter Allgemeine* that this exhibition followed Dante Alighieri’s *Divine Comedy*: with the hell of a heat film, the purgatory of a heat chamber, but also the Paradise of a grove of trees planted within the pavilion, as well as the central video installation serving as the grand finale – a shimmering, visually striking mood board showcasing best-practice projects, potential solutions and aspirational living environments.
As part of the exhibition, landscape architects met on site for an in-depth discussion. Further statements and projects on climate adaptation were documented during excursions organised by the Institute of Landscape Architecture at the Technical University of Braunschweig.
The ACT NOW film series and the PlatzHirschIn photo series invite you to join the discussion on the future of landscape architecture at the Charlottenburg campus in Berlin.
Details on registration and the full programme will follow shortly.
