Projects can be submitted until 31 March 2026.

The new prize showcases what can be achieved under real-world conditions: good ideas, a clear stance and solutions that make a difference.

We are looking not only for impressive showcase projects, but also for inspiring concepts, interim stages, unconventional experiments and ideas that venture off the beaten track. We welcome bold initiatives as well as partial successes and ideas that point the way towards sustainable planning.

The awards will recognise projects in the categories ‘Together rather than alone’, ‘Collaborations’, ‘New Aesthetics’, ‘Sustainability’, ‘Backbone’, ‘Technically Savvy’ and ‘Neighbourhood and the Countryside’.

This will highlight just how broad the scope of landscape architecture is in Berlin and Brandenburg – spanning the metropolis and the countryside. There is also a people’s choice award.

The highlight of the competition is the awards ceremony on 27 August, followed by an exhibition at the feldfünf project spaces in the Metropolenhaus in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Full details on the competition and how to enter can be found here on the website www.bdla.de/de/berlin-brandenburgischer-landschaftsarchitektur-preis
