Carola Morgenstern has been unanimously re-elected as chairperson.
Furthermore, she was honoured by Michael Klisch on behalf of the entire Executive Board and the members present for her 30 years’ membership of the bdla. This tribute took place during the 2026 Annual General Meeting.
A wide range of agenda items were dealt with during the hybrid event. Alongside Carola Morgenstern, Michael Klisch was re-elected as Deputy Chair and Enno Meier-Schomburg as Treasurer.
In addition, the specialist spokespersons were elected for a new ‘term of office’. The Executive Committee is particularly pleased to welcome new member Gesine Düwel to the Plant Use committee! Christian Beste is the new specialist spokesperson for landscape planning, whilst Carola Morgenstern now serves on the working group for the conservation of historic gardens in addition to her role as Chair. Ute Fischer-Gäde, as specialist spokesperson for training, and Elke Mertens, as specialist spokesperson for urban development and open space planning, were unanimously re-elected.
