The bdla Rhineland-Palatinate/Saarland is hosting a summer party with a tour of the project site in Worms on 14 August 2026.
Time and place:
The event starts at 2.00 pm at the 118 monument on Adenauerring, on the corner of von-Soen-Straße.
The inner city ring road in Worms has been undergoing redevelopment in sections for several years. This year, our colleague Stephan Schares is overseeing the construction work for two adjacent sections. With the exception of the landscaping, the project will be largely complete by the time of our tour.
The following experts are expected to join us as guides:
- Ms Schött, a landscape architect from Büdingen and the designer of the ‘118’ scheme,
- Ms Burmester, a landscape architect specialising in light landscapes from Frankfurt, who designed the ‘Lückenschluss’ scheme,
- the project managers from the City of Worms, and
- Ms Herbst, the managing director of Herbst, the company implementing both projects.
As always, the site visit will count towards continuing professional development credits (4 credits).
Afterwards, from around 5.00 pm, we would like to round off the day with lively networking and a convivial get-together at the neighbouring restaurant.
