Since 2008, colleagues from the bdla regional group in Saxony have been working to improve the quality of open spaces at educational institutions.
Goals
With full-day care, not only the building but also the outdoor area is an important living and learning space. Daycare and kindergarten children need a variety of outdoor spaces for their healthy development. Pupils have a right to recreational spaces and sufficient space for exercise.
The "Educational Spaces Working Group" is involved in this area, among others:
- Lecturing and participating in conferences on play space, daycare centers, and schools.
- Expert statements on draft legislation, petitions, school building guidelines
- Own training events and conferences
- Discussions and exchange with planning partners, municipalities, professional colleagues
- Saxon Children's Garden Competition (jury activity, consulting since 2008)
- Saxon School Garden Competition (jury participation and consulting)
