House of Architects, Goetheallee 37, 01309 Dresden

The model-based planning method of Building Information Modeling, or BIM for short, is on everyone's lips and is also becoming increasingly important in landscape architecture.

But what is behind it?

Do I as an office have to implement this method and how do I do it?

What effort does it mean for my office and is it worth the effort?

Although computer-based planning and handling of projects (CAD, GIS, AVA, etc.) has been taken for granted in landscape architecture for decades, there is still a lot of uncertainty about BIM in landscape architecture.

The seminar gives an introduction to the topic, explains terms and basics and presents the planning process and the subsequent use of the planning model based on real project examples from landscape architecture.

The focus is not only on the pure implementation of the BIM method as a client requirement, but also on the advantages that this digital method brings in the daily work routine and which requirements are needed for the introduction of BIM in the planning office.

Using the example of BIM planning, the approach and the use of the software, the use of own planning tools, the creation of own objects and the handling of the model data will be explained.

A keynote lecture will inform about the state of affairs regarding the handling of the planning method BIM in terms of fees.
