In recent years, the discussion about sustainable building has increasingly focused on urban development and open space planning issues. Our seminar offers you the opportunity to deal intensively with these topics.

We present current guidelines and assessment systems, such as the BNB assessment system for sustainable outdoor construction and the FLL assessment system for sustainable open spaces. These systems will not only be explained, but their content and potential will also be discussed together with the participants.


The lecturer, Eike Richter, is a landscape architect bdla and office manager of LA.BAR. With over 25 years of professional experience and as a lecturer at the TU Berlin, he has extensive knowledge in the field of sustainable landscape architecture. He is also a member of the standardization working group for sustainable open spaces of the Research Association for Landscape Architecture and Landscape Development (FLL).
