The Association of German Landscape Architects (bdla), regional group Hamburg and regional group Schleswig-Holstein, cordially invite you to a continuation of their popular event series 'Construction Site Inspections'.

Unter den Linden / Ox-Park, Hamburg-Langenhorn' New residential development on the site of the former Ochsenzoll Hospital.

The listed ensemble of the former hospital Ochsenzoll from 1891 is being developed and redensified into a new residential quarter with around 450 units. The buildings and pavilions are located in a park of about 11ha. Former patient gardens will become private gardens. Park-like structures, such as impressive large trees, linden avenues and diverse planting, will be preserved or supplemented and made accessible. Tree care and rainwater management are key aspects of this construction project.

The planning since 2012 and the construction site development of three years can be read at one location, from the start of construction of the 1st BA in 2015 to the last 3rd BA currently under construction in 2018.
Guided tour by Nikolaus Gurr, GHP Landscape Architects, Hamburg as well as Dr. Jens Beck, Behörde für Kultur und Medien/ Denkmalschutzamt Hamburg/ Referat Gartendenkmalpflege and others.

The event is explicitly aimed at young landscape architects. Questions about construction methods and problem solutions will be discussed. Planning offices are encouraged to point out the event to their young employees.
