The basic concern is to initiate, operate and intensify a network of the new young people in the association and to support aspiring young self-employed people in their plans with expertise and experience. bdla Executive Committee member Franz Reschke provides information about this in an interview. In recent years, the visibility of young talent has been strengthened via contributions, articles and the newly created category "Young Landscape Architecture" at the German Landscape Architecture Award.

In 2021, the exhibition "FRISCHGRÜN21" presented the young landscape architecture scene at the BUGA in Erfurt. Furthermore, the special continuing education program"bdla Workshop Young Landscape Architecture" and the bdla Founders' Forum were launched. The regularly held hybrid event format "frischgrün_vernetzt" (freshgreen_networked) is intended to promote and consolidate the exchange of content and networking within the young landscape architecture scene.
