The alliance is committed to a land policy geared towards the common good as an important means of achieving socially just and sustainable development in urban and rural areas.

It is a non-partisan association of academies, associations, chambers and foundations from the fields of architecture, urban and regional planning, environment and nature conservation as well as social issues and social participation.

Soil, its availability and use play a central role in the major challenges of the coming decades, including social cohesion, effective climate protection and adaptation and the preservation of biodiversity. The Alliance has drawn up soil policy demands for the Bundestag elections.
