Online seminar on 08.07.2021, 16.30 - 18.30 hrs.
In order to exchange ideas about BIM in landscape architecture among colleagues, the BIM working group of the bdla has conceived corresponding workshop discussions. The idea of the series of talks is to exchange experiences, opportunities and problems of the use of BIM in the planning office on the basis of concrete project examples. - The aim is not to teach the basics of using BIM in landscape architecture. For this purpose, an independent online seminar of the bdla on 08.09.2021 is in preparation.

In April 2021, the fourth joint brief survey by the Federal Chamber of Architects and the Federal Chamber of Engineers on the impact of the pandemic on planning offices took place. Fortunately, the number of those feeling negative economic consequences has steadily decreased over the past 12 months. More than 5,000 planners took part in the survey.

On 7 May 2021, the German Bundestag approved the Federal Government's draft Building Land Mobilisation Act as amended by the Building Committee. On 28 May 2021, the Bundesrat also approved the bill. After the Federal President has signed the Building Land Mobilisation Act, it can enter into force the following night

The German Urban Design Award 2020 goes to the Quartier am ehemaligen Blumengroßmarkt project in Berlin. The design authors include bbzl böhm benfer zahiri landschaften städtebau (urban development concept) and Rehwaldt Landschaftsarchitekten (open spaces at the Akademie Jüdisches Museum and Besselpark).

Environmental construction supervision has become an important instrument in construction projects. Against this background, the bdla has developed a current model contract for environmental construction supervision and makes it available online free of charge.

With the "EU Green Deal", the European Union has set itself the goal of making Europe climate-neutral by 2050. By 2030, 55 percent of emissions are already to be reduced to 1990 levels. The Commission wants to promote sustainable ideas and is awarding prizes worth a total of 450,000 euros as part of its "New European Bauhaus" initiative.

Competition announced. Deadline 2 July 2021
At the end of April 2021, Callwey Verlag and Garten Landschaft, together with their partners, including the bdla, launched the GARDENS OF THE YEAR 2022 competition. Auslober and partners are again looking for the best private gardens designed by landscape architects, gardeners and landscape gardeners in the German-speaking area. 5,000 euro wave the first price as price money; further offices receive an honor. The deadline for entries is 2 July 2021.
