Exhibition opening: Wednesday 31 January 2018, 6.00 p.m.

In the module "Design and Space", students of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, Department of Landscape Architecture, Open Space Planning course, learn in the second semester the principles of a spatial design theory based on the historical Bauhaus. Concrete references can be made to the impulses and ideas of the preliminary course by Josef Albers, Láskló Moholy-Nagy and Hinnerk Scheper. They consist in the ideal and concrete linking of surfaces to spaces, which repeatedly took on a sculptural, composite, kinetic and transparent character.

The aim of the module "Design and Space" is to impart aesthetic knowledge of designing with geometries, forms and materials. The spatial models shown in the exhibition are intended to make clear that landscape architecture, architecture and art do not have to stand side by side in a segmented way, but can find their way together to a unifying and complementary design experience.
