The popular IAKS seminar series "Infrastructure of Modern Sports Fields" is going into the next round and will meet from 28 - 29 November 2018 in Wolfsburg.

The topics for the event in the VW Arena can be summarised in a triad: Sports facility development - subsidies - sustainability. The thematic block of sports facility development deals with modern approaches, exemplary solutions and visions of modern sports facility development projects. The IAKS seminar will also provide information on current funding programmes at European and national level as well as on the special funding programmes in Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia. In the sustainability thematic block, the seminar offers the latest information, for example, on the possible health hazards posed by PAHs in recycled granulates from artificial turf surfaces. Participants will gain practical insights into the city of Wolfsburg's sports facility development planning during a tour of various sports facilities.

As cooperation partners, the IAKS was able to win the bdla regional association of Lower Saxony Bremen, represented by Dipl.-Ing. Lüder Hoppe, the Federal Institute for Sports Science (BISp), the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), the Lower Saxony Association of Cities and the City of Wolfsburg.
