After the kick-off event "Lust auf Grün" and the Baukultursymposium with the topic "Green Infrastructure", the third step of the concept, the regionalisation, is to be prepared.

In order to deepen this multi-layered topic, regional events are to be held at different locations, cities, villages, regions after the Baukultursymposium and the Weser trip with the participation of the respective municipalities.

The previous working group consisting of members of the bdla NB, SRL, City and University of Hanover, the Chamber of Architects and a board member of the Netzwerk Baukultur in Niedersachsen e. V. founded the working group "Green Infrastructure" for this purpose in the Netzwerk Baukultur on 25 October 2018.

The topic will be expanded to "Green Infrastructure in Urban and Rural Areas" in order to clarify the necessary view of the broad scope of application.

Development of "Green Infrastructure" in the region

The rural area with its multifaceted tasks and regional peculiarities places high demands on all those who are concerned with the sustainable development of these areas. The aim is to strengthen the development of rural areas, to introduce green infrastructure as an integrative concept in politics, administration and society (guiding culture) and to reduce existing disparities. In doing so, regional needs such as the choice of topics, priority setting, development goals, etc. are to be taken into account.

This range of tasks is to be addressed above all by joint action on the part of associations concerned with the subject, such as bdla, SRL, ALR, the municipal umbrella organisations, ministries, universities and the Chamber in the person of the regional representatives or also the mobile design advisory board.

The next meeting of the working group will take place on 10 December in Hanover. Further information is available from the office.
