Green façades are in vogue. The spread of fire along the façade is generally one of the most critical fire scenarios and plants are additional flammable materials. The influence of green façades on the spread of fire along the façade should therefore not be neglected. However, little research is available on this topic.

The FireSafeGreen research project aims to change this. Thomas Engel provides information on the status of the ongoing research project at the Technical University of Munich.
