Objective
The aim is to motivate planners and developers to use greening to enhance urban living spaces in a variety of ways.

Content
The pressure to develop building land in German cities has led to a steady expansion and densification of urban space over the last few decades. As a result, German cities are struggling with considerable climatic, air quality and acoustic pollution, particularly in inner-city areas.

This needs to be counteracted today. One effective measure that has long received far too little attention is the greening of buildings. In this seminar, the practical, interdisciplinary variety of uses of building greening in connection with the techniques of energy-efficient construction will be made visible. A large number of structural details as well as information on damage prevention in the planning and implementation of façade and roof greening are included, as well as detailed information on the combined application with energy recovery measures on the building envelope.
