The event is aimed at all those involved in planning competitions, including planning offices from the fields of architecture, landscape architecture and urban planning, as well as competition organizers and support offices.

Objective
The aim of the event is to further develop competition procedures in a climate-oriented manner and to provide participants with the necessary tools to be able to evaluate designs from a climate perspective, among other things.

Content
The effects of climate change are already being felt, with an increase in extreme weather events such as heavy rain or heat waves. It is therefore crucial to develop cities for the future and strengthen their climate resilience.

Planning competitions play a key role in this by enabling early and holistic consideration of climate issues. For example, climate resilience criteria serve as an orientation aid in early planning phases.

The seminar serves to promote climate adaptation in urban and landscape planning competitions. It can serve as an additional resource to the guidelines for planning competitions (RPW 2013). The event will cover various topics, such as a climate-oriented competition brief, the role of preliminary assessment and evaluation and the responsibility of the individual planning participants.
