Perspectives for climate-safe and green cities in the context of urban redensification

Conference with excursion and visit of the LGS, in cooperation with the bdla Bayern

With the continuing growth in population, the pressure to use free, undeveloped areas is increasing in many cities - green and open spaces are also affected. In addition to the creation of sufficient living space, securing the quality of life in the city also plays a major role in the context of increasing density. The availability of green and open spaces is an important factor in this context. In addition to their utility value as leisure and recreational areas, the importance of green and open spaces is increasing in connection with urban climatic aspects as well as the mitigation of weather extremes in urban areas.

The aim of the conference is to highlight the importance of green and open spaces in the context of increasing urban densification and at the same time to present strategies that enable their interests to be implemented in the context of urban planning. In addition, the climate-friendly development of green and open spaces will be the subject of the symposium.
